North American Premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival

Newport Beach, California, USA, 30 October 2025: Eclectic Aspirations is pleased to announce the successful North American premiere of WEALTH UNTOLD, a new documentary showcasing women-led efforts to protect Belize’s world-renowned barrier reef and the livelihoods it supports.

More than a story of environmental crisis, WEALTH UNTOLD is a powerful portrait of resilience, ingenuity, and inspiration. The film is set in Belize and explores challenges faced by the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that sustains over half the country’s population through fishing, tourism, and cultural identity.

Produced over four years by a dedicated team of independent filmmakers and ocean advocates, WEALTH UNTOLD offers an intimate look at efforts to protect marine ecosystems while balancing economic development. It stands as a beacon of hope for coastal communities worldwide and a testament to the powerful role of women in shaping a sustainable future.

Following the screening, festival programmer Molly Rose Freeman moderated a Q&A with director and producer Eladio Arvelo, joined by producers Shareef Haq and Philip Karp. The conversation began with an overview of the film’s central message and went on to explore the extensive research behind the project, the challenges of featuring participants with differing perspectives, and the effort that went into capturing the film’s breathtaking aerial and underwater footage.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the festival organizers and our film audience for making this experience truly memorable. It was an honor to be among the six documentaries featured in the Environmental Film Series, and we cherish the warm welcome from the City of Newport Beach.
